Brisbane’s Cruise ship terminal at Hamilton for Casa Engineering required seven draftsmen simultaneously working on the project to achieve the delivery schedule for 650 tonnes of steel. The challenge for each draftsman was to work models around areas still being designed in order to avoid delay to delivery programs.

Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (2006)

The Stacker Reclaimer SR3/SR6 upgrade at Dalrymple Bay for G & S Engineering was undertaken by Alpetros using TSD4, 3D Software. By using pre-existing workshop drawings to model the existing machine our draftsmen were able to proceed with the upgraded work required by the client.

Pedestrian Bridge Bremer River, Ipswich (2008)

The pedestrian bridge over Ipswich’s Bremer River links the Ipswich business centre to the new Riverlinks Shopping Complex. Alpetros’ contract with Casa Engineering required personnel to make progressive changes during detailing. Pre-modeling of the balustrading enabled design changes to take place for both aesthetics and practical purposes.

Comet River Bridge (2005)

The Comet River Railway Bridge had contractual time frames for Alpetros’ client that allowed no window for shop detailing. While the detailing was not complex or large, progressive delivery of the shop drawing was dictated by time. Alpetros personnel were able to meet the required schedule.

Virgin Blue’s maintenance hanger at Brisbane Airport was detailed using Strucad’s Version 12 Software. The large truss spans and the design engineer’s allowable deflections required our draftsmen to consider this in the detail connections of the splice joints.

Rockhampton Domestic Airport (1987)

Alpetros Design Services has undertaken 3 upgrades to this airport since completing the original building in 1987, all for Pierce Engineering Pty Ltd. The demanding delivery schedule imposed by the construction industry’s fast track system of that era was challenging for both draftsman and fabricator. Drawings were delivered progressively to enable fabrication and erection to begin at an early stage.
